Super Junior's Ryeowook is getting married!

On Instagram, the South Korean singer announced his upcoming wedding with former TAHITI member Ari.

"As you are aware, there is someone I am seeing," he said in a handwritten letter translated by Soompi. "Over the time we spent together, I naturally developed a desire to become family with her."

"This is not a sudden decision but one I’ve been deliberating for a long time, and after long discussion with the members and agency staff, I decided to have my wedding this spring in late May," he added.

He thanked his group's fanbase, ELF, for supporting him since he debuted at 19 in 2005.

"And now I am 38-year-old Kim Ryeowook, in my 20th year since debut," he said. "Whether then or now, our ELFs have always steadfastly stood by our side. I think we have become stronger, having experienced both happy and sad moments together."

"I am always grateful to the ELF who has supported Kim Ryeowook although I have been imperfect and clumsy until now," he added. "On the other hand, I also feel apologetic to those of you who may have been surprised by this news."

He also thanked his members and SM Entertainment staff who "have supported my decision and given me strength."

Ryeowook confirmed that he was dating Ari in 2020.

Super Junior debuted in 2005 under SM Entertainment.
